OperatorOS
systemThe problem
An AI can chase leads, read threads and draft replies faster than I can. What it cannot do is carry the consequences of a message sent in my name. The final judgement and the sign-off stay with me, which makes me the bottleneck: if every thread waits on a question, I am interrupted all day, and if nothing waits, I have given up the say. I wanted both kept, my say in full and as little of my time as possible.
What I built
OperatorOS is a queue with an AI behind it, built around one gate that only I can open.
The gate. Every message, post, comment and connection request waits for my yes. That holds for all of them from the start. I loosen it for one type at a time, and only when I say so.
Safe by construction. A yes on the page is not a send. The page records my answer, and sending or posting happens only in the Claude app, after I say so and see each message listed, so nothing written into the page, or into a message the AI read, can make anything go out. Personal documents and finances never go on a card.
Groundwork before the gate. Each morning a scheduled run pulls in WhatsApp, mail, LinkedIn messages, call transcripts and my week's notes, then takes every thread as far as it can alone. It looks things up before it asks me anything. If I have already answered someone myself, it drafts nothing.
A cheap yes. What reaches me is a decision with a suggested default, a draft, or a new ask to sort, one card at a time on my phone, most urgent first. A draft names what it was checked against and flags anything agreed that it leaves out. I answer yes, no or later, or edit the text in place. A card I postpone three times asks whether to drop it.

What happened
I built the first version on 29 September 2026 and it has run daily since. In the first three days it carried 24 cards: replies, LinkedIn comments and two scheduled posts, each sent only after my yes.
I judge it on 27 October, by my own time. It stays if I clear the queue in under thirty minutes on most days. It shrinks or stops if I skip it five working days in a row, or if fixing drafts takes longer than writing them.
